The phone comes with a 7.30-inch touchscreen primary display with a resolution of 1536x2152 pixels at a pixel density of 326 pixels per inch (ppi). ... Samsung Galaxy Fold is powered by a 2.84GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor. It comes with 12GB of RAM.

The Samsung Galaxy Fold is set to launch in India on October 1, 2019. The phone was made available in the US last month, and it is one of the first foldable phones by Samsung which comes with a tablet-sized screen when unfolded, and a secondary small screen as well.

Design

The Samsung Galaxy Fold comes with one screen in the front, and which opens and shuts like a book. It has a wide notch holding two selfie sensors on the inside as well as a triple rear camera setup. The phone has a total of 6 cameras with one in the front as well.

It has a 7.3-inch display when unfolded with 1536 x 2152 pixels display resolution and 4.2:3 aspect ratio. The smaller 4.6-inch Super AMOLED panel has 840 x 1960 pixels resolution.

The unfolded phone measures 160.9 x 117.9 x 6.9 mm and weighs 263 grams. When it is folded it measures 160.9 x 62.9 x 15.5 mm.

Performance

Under the hood, the phone has Qualcomm SDM855 Snapdragon 855 (7 nm) Octa-core (1x2.84 GHz Kryo 485 & 3x2.42 GHz Kryo 485 & 4x1.78 GHz Kryo 485) processor and Adreno 640 GPU. It comes with an array of sensors including Fingerprint (side-mounted), accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity, compass, and barometer.

Camera

In terms of optics, the Samsung Galaxy Fold comes with a total of six cameras which includes a 16 MP ultra-wide camera with an f/2.2 aperture, a 12 MP wide-angle camera, with Dual Pixel AF, OIS, and variable f/1.5 to f/2.4 aperture; and finally, a 12 MP telephoto camera with PDAF, OIS, an f/2.4 aperture, and 2X optical zoom on the rear. As for the front dual camera, the Galaxy Fold comes with a 10 MP f/2.2 primary sensor and an 8 MP RBG depth camera with an f/1.9 aperture. Lastly, the cover camera is a 10 MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture.

Battery and Storage

Samsung has packed two batteries in the phone with a combined capacity of 4,380mAh. Samsung offers fast charging support and wireless charging on the Galaxy Fold. The phone has 12GB of RAM and 512GB of inbuilt storage which is non expandable.

8. Samsung Galaxy S11 and S11 Plus
